Profile

His soccer talent developed while studying in primary level in the island of Mahibadhoo, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll. He wasn't a keeper at first, but somehow his decision of becoming a keeper made him one of the best keepers seen in Maldives soccer history.

First joined Eagles and many giant clubs shown their interest on Imran, but refusing many offers Imran signed a deal with Victory sports club in 2001 and since then he never made a step out of the club.

Imran shared many happy moments with both Victory and national team, he is the current captain of Victory and vice captain of Maldives national team. Many believed that his performance was much better in national team compared to his performance as a Victory player.

Imran was the keeper during Maldives' historical draw against 2002 world cup semi finalist South Korea in Male' and many Koreans believe that his brilliant saves and performance was the main reason they couldn't beat Maldives.

For the upcoming season, New Radiant tried hard to include Imran in their squad but after many discussions he was again agreed to stay with Victory.

Since he became the no. one keeper of Maldives, no other keeper was able to replace his position in national team and he is without any doubt the best keeper seen in Maldives recent history.

Imran has won many awards, which includes best keeper of season 2004, Best player of 10th Cup Winners Cup and Best keeper of President's Cup 2005.
