The next edition of President’s cup will kick off this week with all four on top gear to win the tournament. The defending champions Victory is in real good form to defend the title, where as New Radiant is likely to be the biggest challenger for the holders.
Focusing on the other two, Valencia and IFC, each is capable of beating their rivals and it seems the competition among the four will be much higher this time.
Valencia will surely miss the professional coach Eric Williams on their bench and IFC might find it hard to fill the gap of Takov. But under the leadership of Binma and Larey in Valencia and IFC respectively the two clubs must not be underestimated.
Victory, who beat New Radiant by 1-0 in last year's final, won this year’s Cup Winners Cup and Zone 9 qualification. New Radiant won recently ended Dhivehi League and FA Cup, where as Valencia and IFC are yet to win a title.
New Radiant, who will face Victory in the opening game on next Thursday night, played 28 games in domestic tournaments including season opening match and won 19 and drew 3 matches.
Victory played 27 matches so far and won 17 and drew 7. Valencia played 26 games and carries a winning number of 15 and drew another 4. IFC is far behind with 20 matches played and won only 8 games and drew 4.
Another importance for both Victory and New Radiant to win the tournament is to become the top club of this season, as both already won two titles in this season.
No matter who will win the tournament, it is going to be another thrilling action of football in this season.

why victory deserves the championship this time??? I think it is New Radiant who deserves the trophy this time to be on top of the season...they won the biggest league in the nation,,,reputed FA cup and are the runnersup of Cupwinners cup...so why not NewRadiant this time guys??? I think Dhagey will again retarliate Victory..and victory muct pay the price of Cupwinners cup one moretime!!!! - moosa
