Haveeru
sponsored children's football festival

MALDIVES - Haveeru daily news has sponsored the children's
football festival organised by Maldives FA, which is schedule to
have from 16-24 of July. Haveeru's acting editor Mohamed Shaheeb
signed the Sponsorship Agreement on behalf of Haveeru and General
Secretary Ibrahim Ismail signed on behalf of Maldives FA.
According to Haveeru, a total of 540 players will perform in three
different age groups of U9, U11 and U13. In this 9 day festival,
it is confirmed that 153 matches will play. Player's from primary
schools like Iskandhar, Jamaaluddin, Kalaafaanu, Giyaasuddin, Imaaduddin
and Thaajuddin will participate.
Haveeru has contributed a lot in the development of sports, especially
Football and Volley in Maldives. It is Haveeru, who award the nation's
top awards in both Football and Volleyball in Maldives. Last year,
Haveeru celebrated the first decade of their award for Maldives
Footballer of the year award.
Haveeru also
organised an International Friendly match between Maldives and Sri
Lanka last year, to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.
