Ali Umar: confident that his injury will be healed before club
practices start


 

Male', MALDIVES - Maldives national team and New Radiant striker, Ali Umar, reveals that his injury that caused during the semi final clash of recently ended SAFF championship is getting better and he will be fine to join the club practices next month.

" The doctor said the inujry happens to be due to the clash, and it would be gone after a few days" said the striker who scored two goals for Maldives in recently ended SAFF tournament.

" I'm hoping to join the club practice when it starts in next month" He added.

It's expected that local clubs will begin their practices somewhere in next month for the upcoming season. But some clubs have already planned to start their practices in the last week of this month.

Ali Umar, a former IFC and Valencia player joined New Radiant after the end of last season. Ali Umar's goal leveled Maldives and Bangladesh in 2003 SAFF championship final and lead both sides to a breath taking shoot out, where the hosts won.
