Maldives lost last friendly by 2-1

Bangkok, THAILAND - Maldives lost their last friendly by 2-1 against Osotsapa today. Maldives took the lead in the first half by a strike from Ashfaag but Osotsapa leveled the game and turned the score line to their side in the dying minutes of second half.

According to Assistant coach, Ihsan Abdul Ghanee (Saanthi) Maldives played very well in today's game and he highlighted the performance of Ashfaag, Oppo , Ali Umar and Bonda.

" Ashfaag, Oppo, Ali Umar and Bonda (Shamveel Gasim) played very well, specially Bonda had a wonderful game " Ihsan said.

Accordingg to Ihsan, Stoikov made several changes in their game to give more players the chance to play. Players substituted include Ashfaag and he highlighted that Ashfaag was already substituted when the opponents took the lead.

In three friendly matches played, Maldives scored 6 goals and conceded 3 goals. Ashfaag scored five goals and Oppo scored one.

Maldives national team will leave to Karachi on 3rd November to appear for SAFF Championship.
