MALDIVES - The only goal from Captain Ahmed Waheed helped Muiveyo friends to bag their second win in the ongoing 3rd Division tournament, when they beat rival Phoenix by 1-0 in yesterday’s game. This win came two days later when they were thrashed in the hands of Phoenix by 2-0 in their first clash.
A total of six teams participated in the tournament and scheduled as 3 teams in each group and each team face their rivals twice and the winners of each group will clash in the final that will play on 6th January.
Phoenix is currently holding the top of Group B with 6 points and a positive 2 goals difference, whereas Muiveyo goes second with 6 points and no goal difference. Fc Cicada is yet to grab a point.
In Group A, Zefrol and Sea Land each with 4 points in two matches, but Zefrol leads the group with the courtesy of positive 6 goals difference. To change this statistics, Sea Land will get an opportunity today, as they will face Zefrol in their second clash of the tournament. Their first fixture ended with a 2-2 draw.
