Ashfaag giving an interview to Maldivesoccer

MALDIVES - Valencia striker Ali Ashfaag has stated that
he will be going for a knee operation soon. The young striker who
is carrying national records for goal scoring is expecting to do
this operation abroad and will be away from local soccer for atleast
three weeks.
In an exclusive interview given to Maldivesoccer, Ashfaag said that
he hasn't been participating Valencia's practices since Dhivehi
League Qualification due to this reason. Regarding the injury he
mentioned that he got a cyst in his left knee and scheduled to have
the operation on next Monday.
" I admit that my performance has deteriorated this season
compared to last two seasons." Ashfaag said.
" I'm really injured and it's even difficult to walk. I used
to have a knee guard these days" He added.
Ashfaag is well known figure in Maldivian soccer for his high rate
of goal scoring. He scored 37 in last season and scored more than
20 goals so far in the ongoing season and expecting to win the Golden
Boot for a third consecutive year.
