09 September 2005

Male', MALDIVES - AFC Cup quarter finalist New Radiant revealed the reason why they have sent recently joined Cameroon striker Gaboma Georghe saying that Georghe demanded a very high salary.

" He (Georghe) demanded a very high salary, which was above our budget and we are going to send him back to his home. He will leave tonight" said Assistant coach Niyaz yesterday.

Georghe played only one game for New Radiant which was against Eagles in the first round of ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League and scored a goal where New Radiant won by 2-0.

New Radiant were expecting Georghe to be the perfect replacement for their injured Uganda striker Idhrees . He played in good form till the last game of their group stage in AFC Cup where he was ruled out for severe injury.

New Radiant's striker, Thoriq (TOM), whos is undergoing his higher education in Malaysia is expected to join the club on 11th. He is coming specially for the AFC Cup match.

" Tom will be coming tomorrow night and join the practice on 11th" Niyaz said.
