Al Faisaly storms to the Finals of the AFC CUP 2005

Amman', JORDAN - In the early minutes of the first half, Al Faisily scored their first goal. The goal which was scored in the 9th minute saw new radiant's players morale went very down. They tried to lift the game later on. There was one more ball which hit the net of New Radiant in this half, but the referee decided that it was not a goal as there was a foul on Keeper sadhun.

Meanwhile a little later Tom hit the bar with a marvelous shot. Al Faisily players were making a lot of fouls on Keeper Sadhun and he had to be treated for injuries twice in the first half.

In the end of the first half, there was a good shot by Al Faisaly from outside the penalty area which went straight to the goal.

New Radiant changed their tactics and then started the second half with more attacking opportunities.

In the 60th minute Al Faisily struck another goal when he got the ball freely in the penalty area. Sadhun also tried to get the ball but was out of reach. It went straight to goal.

Al Faisaly’s Keeper was changed in the middle of the second half for injuries he got while in a clash with tom. They both collided when they tried to get the same ball.

While the 4th goal was scored by Al Faisaly in the 90th minute. In the dying minutes of the match, ND of New Radiant gave a very nice ball after passing three players to Tom, who shot it very nicely to the corner of the goal.

Before the match, President of Maldives H. E Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom called New Radiant’s media co-ordinator Mr. Azim and wished the club good luck. And meanwhile new radiant also announced an award for the players if they went to the finals. They announced an award of US$ 3000.

While in the next semi final match, Al Najmeh won by 3-2 and stormed in to the finals of the AFC CUP which will be played in the 19th and 26th of October.
