Maldives draws one and lost one

Male', MALDIVES - Maldives had a draw in their start of ongoing Asean Football Federation's (AFF) under 20 Youth championship in Indonesia. Maldives had 2-2 draw against Timore Leste', a country gained independence in 2000 and became an AFC member in 2002 and not ranked by FIFA yet.
In the second match Maldives faced Laos today, a country positioned at 163 in FIFA ranking, which is 21 positions behind Maldives and Laos left the field with a victory of 2 goals without a reply from Maldives.
Considering these results it looks like Maldives need more work to be done in order to boost the soccer performance, specially among the youth.
Maldives isn't a country in the region of ASEAN, but for the improvement of soccer in the country helped to perform in the competitins organised by ASEAN, as they agreed to include Maldives in ASEAN region, but the results seems questionable.
Maldives will play againt Vietnam on 12th and currently Maldives are in the fourth position of five team group with one point. Singapore at the bottom, as they didn't play a match yet.
