MALDIVES - Was it a practice game for new Radiant, Who are preparing for their semi final encounter against Al Faisily on the 12 th of this month?
New Radiant created a lot of chances in the first half and was rewarded with two goals scored by Fazeel and Nimal.
In the second half Hiriyaa played with more enthusiasm and made a lot of pressure to the vunerable defence of New Radiant. Meanwhile Oppo also scored in the second half with a long range shot outside the penalty area.
In the news conference New Radiant's coach said that the players were very tired after their semi final game.
"Our players are very tired after the game. So their motivation was less compared to the other matches. But I cannot do anything cause they are very tired physically. "
When asked by maldivesoccer whether he was pleased with the result he said that he is very happy as they got 3 vital points
"Considering that the players were tired am happy with the result. We got a vital 3 points and that was what we wanted. I don't mind the score line"
Answering a question asked by maldivesoccer why Boyko was rested in today's game New Radiant coach said that he wanted to check the defence line.
"I simply did not make him play because I have to prepare for the semi final. So the players should get a chance to play like that" he said.
New Radiant gave a rest to senior players by substituting them in the second half. Meanwhile Boyko and Anmadey did not play in today's game. Ammady suffered an injury in there last game in AFC cup.
In an interview given to maldivesoccer today, Mr. Azim- media co-ordinator of New Radiant said that Anmadey was rested in today's game so that he could heal up for the next game
"Anmadey will not play today because he has to rest and we hope he could play in the next game in Jordan" Azim said earlier today.
Meanwhile Hiriyaa coach said in the news conference that he was very happy with the result
"I am very happy with the result as I played with only 13-14 players."
Earlier today he said to maldivesoccer that some of his players left to islands for ramazan and various reasons and he faced a lot of problems with the squad.
In the news conference he said that he wanted to minimize the goals
"our target now was to minimize the goals and to play a nice football. I am very happy because we created good chances in the second half."
Man of the match was Oppo of New Radiant.
