A m essage from IFC: We are still on top
14 August 2005

Male', MALDIVES - IFC has given a clear message to their next opponents New Radiant and Victory today, after beating top form Hurriyya by 2-1. IFC considered a weak side in somewhere of the season is now showing how strong they are by holding first position of ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

In today's match, IFC took the lead in the 27th minute when a header by Arif went inside the goal over the hand of diving keeper Ishaag. In the 59th minute of the game a silly mistake from Hurriyya defence pave the way for Shamveel to score the second goal of IFC.

After many substitutions, Hurriyyaa scored their first in the 71st minute of the game. This goal came in from a substitute player, Shinaz.

Hurriyyaa's Atheef got a chance to level the game before the final whistle, but slow reaction from him gave IFC defenders the chance to clear the ball.

Last week IFC held Valencia to a 1-1 draw and they will face New Radiant on 21st August, which might be an important match to decide the first round rankings of the league.
