Hurriyya 12-1 IFC: A difficult task ahead of Valencia
15 October 2005

Male', MALDIVES - Huriyya wins their last match of the ongoing dhiraagu Dhivehi league. Now the hope of claiming the title for them is better than Valencia, as Valencia have to win the game against New Radiant with a goal difference of 6 goals inorder to defend the title. Where as a win for New Radiant will settle the title for them.

The first two goal of tonight's game came in a quick succession with Onu and Shinaz. IFC then played very well and gave a lot of pressure for the Huriyya defense line and at last Ali Rameez scored with a long range shot. Huriyya's Saagib later made the score line 3-1

In the second half, Huriyya scored 9 more goals with 3 goals each from Saagib and Shinaz. Onu made his tally to 4 as well. Captain Abdullah also scored in this half.

During the post match conference, Huriyya's coach praised his players. His assistant coach explained the tactics that was employed during the break.

"The coach told the players about the discipline of the players and how unhappy he was about the score line. He saw some players without their Jerseys tuck in. He also told the importance of players working hard to get more goals" His assistant said.

A question asked by maldivesoccer about his comments made to the local media saying that he is unhappy about the score line in the previous matches specially in Victory's and Valencia's match, he said that today his players worked hard.

"Our players work hard today. They showed their hard work and this is their reward. We noticed that the goal keeper was not so good and we utilized it as well. In Maldives, if there is a 3 or 4 goals difference the teams give up easily. That's what happened today" Huraa coach Goffa said.

When asked about next game he said that he would be happy if Huriyya wins the title. But he would not worry too much about it as the players worked very hard in the whole season.

"I will be ofcourse sad if we do not win the league. But I think second place is also very good for us as we do not have the facilities that are available in Male' for Male' teams. So I think second place is also very good for us." Goffa added.

Meanwhile, IFC coach Nizam refused to move his tongue.

With this result the chance of wining the league is much more open to New Radiant and Hurriyya and the chance is quite narrow for Valencia. Now Valencia need to beat New Radiant, the team they were unable to beat in this season, by a margin of 6 goals.

Everything will be finalised on Tuesday night where New Radiant will face Valencia in the last game of Dhivehi League.
