Goffa unhappy with New Radiant's action
18 October 2005

Male', MALDIVES - Hurriyyaa coach Goffa showed dissatisfaction against the comment made by New Radiant regarding the upcoming crucial match of ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. Where New Radiant's media coordinator Azim confirmed to maldivesoccer that his team is not serious about the game.

" "We have got everything that we wanted for this season. So we will not take the game seriously. If we win we win. If we loose we lose. We will not worry about it". Azim said two days before.

Huriyya's coach was very unhappy with those words by the management of New Radiant

"It is strange words! No interest at all from the club?. They can play AFC cup now. But what would others feel by those comments. Obviously we have more chance to win the Cup than Valencia. So it doesn't matter much" the unsatisfied coach said.

He also said that FAM should take action against those words.

"FAM should intervene. They are the governing body which has to protect the football play. These words indicate something which has to be taken note of. After these words there would be a lot of speculation towards the score line" Goffa added.

Mean while FAM 's executive secretary Hussain said to maldivesoccer that it is not their matter if a team doesn't take the matches seriously.

"We cannot take actions if the team decides to put substitutes and play. Those are team problems that comes into play. Not ours" Hussain said.

New Radiant have been fined previously by FAM for suspicions of giving up matches.
