Victory 4-1 IFC: Green signal for Valencia
25 August 2005

Male', MALDIVES - Victory's Morocco player Bouchaib scored twice in their latest and last encounter of ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi league's first round. Bouchaib opened the scoring in the 18th minute when they were awarded a penalty for a hand ball by an IFC defender.

In the 41st minute of the game another penalty favoured Victory side and this time Ismail Mohamed converted it into the goal giving Zariyandhu no chance.

Before the half time Shafiu of IFC brought IFC back into the game with third penalty of the game. This time Victory's Rasheed became the culprit.

Later on the second half Bouchaib and Shiyam (Dhona) each added one more into the scoring in the 73rd and 86th minute respectively, sealing a comfortable win over IFC, who appeared as the top club of the league in tonight's game.

Victory started the tournament with three defeats against Valencia, New Radiant and Hurriyya and winning the remaining four matches of this round has given a good indication about the increment of their performance.

This result is surely a green signal for the defending champion Valencia to finish the first round on top of the table. They need to win against downbeat Foakaidhoo on tomorrow's game inorder to achieve this goal.

Ibrahim Shiyam of Victory was declared as the man of the match.
