Ashfaag's hat trick helped Maldives to win again

Bangkok, Thailand - Ali Ashfaag's first half hat trick helped Maldives to beat BEC Tera sasana of Thailand by 4-1 in their second warm up match. Ibrahim Fazeel scored the fourth goal for Maldives.

In today's match, BEC Tera opened the scoring in the fiftth minute of the game, but Maldives replied brilliantly in the 23rd, 32nd and 42nd minute of the game. All these goals came from ace striker Ashfaag.

Maldives' fourth goal came from Ibrahim Fazeel (Oppo) in the 57th minute of the game from a good time pass by Ali Umar.

According to Assistant coach Ihsaan Abdul Ghanee (Saanthi) Maldives dominated the game and showed a good team combination. He highlighted the performance by Ashfaag, Ali Umar and Oppo.

" Ashfaag, Oppo and Ali Umar played and outstanding game today" He said in an interview given to maldivesoocer.

Ihsaan also noted that BEC Tera Sasana is a strong side and played to win the game.

" They took the game seriously and they did whatever possible in their side to beat us" Ihsan said.

Maldives will face Osasuna Park on 30th of this month in their last friendly before departing to Karachi for SAFF Championship.

Maldives will face Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the group stage of upcoming SAFF Championship.
