Male', MALDIVES - The bottom club of Group B grabs a surprise in ongoing 3rd Division tournament by beating Muiveyo Friends by 6-1 in their second clash played yesterday. This result ruined the hopes of Muiveyo and left with no choice, but bid farewell to the competition.

A win hungry Cicada started their half a dozen goal saga in the 7th minute from Nafiz Waheed and continued the goal scoring drama quite well in the first half as they shocked the opponent to a 5-0 score line. The scoring opener Nafiz scored his second in the 13th minute and Ibrahim Shaheed also hits the net twice in the 26th and 45th minute respectively and Hussain Atheeg scored their fifth in the 40th minute.

Muiveyo scored their only goal in the 78th minute and fought bravely to score more, but Cicada shows no mercy and unmarked Ismail Naseer scored their 6th.

Cicada, who lost their first two fixtures will face club Phoenix to fight for a place in the final. Phoenix needs just one point to enter the final and Cicada knows they need more than that to battle for gold.

Sea Land, the most likely finalist of Group A will battle for a place in the final on 2nd January. They need just a draw against Hithaadhoo youth wing, a team they hammered by a 5-1 score line in their first game.
