Male, MALDIVES -Sports News editor of Aafathis daily, Jaufar Rasheed,has resigned from the post with an undisclosed reason. Jaufar who spent last six years at Aafathis is also the editor of Aafathis' Samaa magazine.
Maldivesoccer contacted Jaufar and tried to find out the reason for his sudden resignation but he didn't want to reveal the reason.
' Aafathis management will know the reason. I don't want the public to know it' He said.
During his six year contribution to sports, Jaufar mostly worked closely with soccer providing criticism based reports and other up to date news.
His contribution to sports came not only in Aafathis, but also in various TVM programs including Heyyanbo and Foari. He also wrote for the magazine Kurifas.
Regarding his future, Jaufar confirmed that he will be seen as a sports journalist.
'I am a sports Journalist and I would be working in the sports area as a journalist and I would decide about my future in the upcoming weeks'
Jaufar thanked Aafathis management for paving the way for him to become a sports journalist.

Most of the reporters critised for not revealing de truth or facing public to answer their question.if Its GOVT high ranking person, its described as CORRUPTION.so my question is WHY jaufar hesitate to reveale the reason for HIS resignation to de PUBLIC.so U Journalist dont blame and critised others for hiding things.This is first time i heard the resignation of journalist and even he was unable to reveal de reason for his resignation.EVEN REPORTERS ARE HIDING THINGS. - Soccer dhurumi
