MALDIVES - Sea Land entered the final of ongoing 3rd Division tournament after they drew their last group stage match by 2-2 against Hithaadhoo youth wing. Youth wing opened the scoring in the 12th minute by Abdullah Bahish, but Mohamed Rameez equalised in the 28th minute for Sea Land. Sea Land, who was fighting hard for a place in the final, took the lead from a goal by Mohamed Abdul Hameed in 82nd minute, but Youth wing leveled the game in the extra minute from Abdul Muhsin’s goal and bags their first ever point in the tournament.
FC Cicada will face Club Phoenix on tomorrow’s group B encounter, a draw is good enough for Phoenix to face Sea Land in the final on 6th January. Cicada needs a win to blow away the hopes of Phoenix.
