MALDIVES - Former Hurriyya coach Goffa showed disappointment over New Radiant’s decision on bringing a Romanian coach. In an interview given to maldivesoccer.com, Goffa explained his feelings to this ‘sudden decision’ of New Radiant management.
‘I give no comment on this situation, its needles… probably you will know what I am thinking. I wish New Radiant all the best. I feel no anger but big big disappointment’ Goffa said today.
Goffa continued explaining that he rejected the offers of both IFC and Hurriyya because of New Radiant.
‘I rejected IFC’s offer. I stopped coming back to Hurriyya, just because of New Radiant’s offer… now suddenly everything is over’
According to our information, Goffa is currently in a situation where no foreign coach has ever experienced in Maldives before. What’s his feeling over Maldivians?
‘There is nothing changed in my relationship to Maldives or the people. I believe I will come back some other time’
Meanwhile New Radiant has confirmed a Romanian coach and said everything will be finalised within a couple of days. New Radiant says Goffa didn’t say “yes” to their offer, but Goffa reject this excuse saying he replied and he lost contact with New Radiant when he was in his vacation.
