FAM award nominees announced

Male', MALDIVES - Football Association of Maldives has announced the nominees for their second annual football awards. The awards gala will be held on 9th of this month and the venue is expected to be Dharubaaruge.

The nominees for season's best player are; Ali Ashfaag and Ali Umar of Valencia and Ibrahim Fazeel of New Radiant. Players competing for most promising Under 21 player is; Ali Ashfaag of Valencia, Shinaz Hilmy of Hurriyya and Mohamed Arif of IFC. Sadun Dhevindha of New Radiant and Imran Mohamed of Victory are the only nominees for season's best keeper. The fair play player should be one from Abdullah Ibrahim of Hurriyya, Assad Abdul Ghanee of Valencia and Ibrahim Amil of IFC.

Ali Ashfaag of Valencia confirmed the top scorer award scoring 35 goals in last season. His closest rivals are Ibrahim Fazeel and Ali Umar, they scored 26 and 22 goals respectively.

The other award that will present on the ceremony is season's best team. New Radiant has already confirmed this honour competing Victory and Valencia.
