Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant skipper Ahmed Mohamed (Ammadey) said that he might be ruled out for one whole season due to the serious injury that caused in last year's AFC Cup.

Ahmed went India for medication this year, but he said that he didnt have any operation there instead he came back and tried traditional Maldivian medication, but found no sign of success.

' I tried traditional medication too, but there was no sign of improving the injury' He said today.

When traditional medicine failed to give any heal to the injury, Ahmed fixed an appointment with an American doctor came to Male' from Mumbai.

' After consulting the American doctor, the injury is getting better. The doctor advised to be away from any sporting activity for atleast six months other than light gym exercises'

' The injured knee is covered with an iron guard and it will be able to remove only after four months. The leg is now able to move upto 90 degrees, but it should go atleast 95 then only I will be able to start jogging' the disappointed youngster said.

During this interview, Ahmed also talked about New Radiant's current squad specially the midfield, which is likely to be the weakest right now.

' I thought the squad will be very strong, but since Oppo, Ali Umar and Dhagey are injured I don't think the squad will be as strong as expected by many'

New Radiant confirmed a Romanian midfielder and he is likely to come very soon. But Ahmed is having a different idea on New Radiant's midfield.

' I think Shifan (Kudattey) will move to midfielder position, but they (New Radiant) will do their best to strengthen the weak departments' he said.
