VB gets 3.7 million as income: Shaveed

Male', MALDIVES - VB has announced that they would be able to get 3.7 million ruffiyya as their annual income generated through various ways. However the board members refused to give elaborate on the ways to generate it
“We do not have to disclose the amount we would spend on the year. We have for sure allocated a budget for this year. But I don't think in any part of the world a soccer club would announce the budget” said Shaveed, founder member of VB
He also commented on the reason why he did not opt for the chairman post
‘I am a very busy person. The people in the board are really close friends of mine. For sure in the past even, clubs in Maldives have been formed like this. The people in the board are people who I go out every day, if I travel they accompany with me. So for sure everyone would be contributing for the betterment of the club”
CEO, Gahthaan explained that there would be more international players who would be joining the team
“We are doing the transfers through FIFA agents. So we would be getting the chance of analyzing the players before they arrive'
On the prospectus of the new players, Gahthaan said a goal keeper would be a favoured choice, but at first they would be looking for a Maldivian player
‘We have Zariyandh as our goal keeper trainer. So we could help the Maldivian goal keepers through his experiences as well. But if we don't get one, then we have to look for internationals. But it would be decided by the coach”
He also said some of the players might be released if the coach feels that there are too many players for various departments.
“He would analyze various departments and then would see if more players are needed or if we have to release some players”
VB Sports practices would resume on the 15 th of this month and would be under the guidance of their assistant coach Kuda Heena
