Ibrahim Fazeel wons best player of President's Cup award

MALDIVES - Aafathis Daily held their second Sports awards night last night at Male English School (MES) hall and awards were presented to the winners by Sports minister Hon. Hussain Hilmy.
Aafathis presented the awards for the winners of 18th FA Cup, 10th Cup Winners Cup and Presidents Cup 2005 (inclusive of Dhivehi league Qualification Zone9, Dhivehi league and President's Cup).
Ali Ashfaag won the award for best player of FA Cup with 103 points followed by Ibrahim Fazeel 97, Imran 63, Assad and Jazeel each with 8 points.
Imran who won the best player of last years Cup Winners Cup won Aafathis awards as well with 288 points competing Ashfaag 108, Assad 91, Fazeel 32 and Nafiu 9.
Last year's best player (both in Haveeru's awards and FAM awards) Ibrahim Fazeel won best player of President's cup as mentioned above this includes the performance showed by players from Dhivehi league Qualification Zone 9 to President's cup. Fazeel tops the table with 700 points, nearest Ashfaag with 179, Imran 52, Ismail Mohamed 40, Ali Umar and Shinaz Hilmy each with 36 points.
Football players, coaches, club officials and other football related people participated in the ceremony but surprisingly nobody from FAM was appeared on the scene. Aafathis showed disappointment over the absence of FAM officials in their sports awards ceremony.
