MALDIVES - Hurriyya sports club has confirmed the appointment of Goffa as their coach to shape up the team for the coming season says team senior official Husein Zareer (Huseynube). Hurriyya turned to Goffa, after they settled everything to bring an English coach, working for Thai Football federation.
‘We have confirmed Goffa, but everything will be finalised (officially) after the holidays’ said Huseynube.
Since the appointment of Goffa, Hurriyya is hunting for new foreign talents to strengthen the team, before they were talking with the English coach, Jason, to bring the foreign talents along with him from Thailand.
‘Previously the players were to come through Jason, but now they wouldn’t come. So we are searching for other players’
Meanwhile Hurriyya has already finished the deal with their former player Onu.
Goffa assisted Hurriyya in last season to win the Dhivehi League and qualifies to this year’s AFC Cup, but he was linked with New Radiant soon after the end of the season. Hurriyyaa turned to Goffa, when New Radiant rejected him in the last minute. Both Goffa and New Radiant point their finger to each other for ‘poor contacts’.
