FAM confirms: Scoreboard is ready

Ibrahim Ismail confirms the scoreboard will be placed in few weeks time.

Male', MALDIVES - Football Association of Maldives has announced that an electronic scoreboard would be put up by the end of this month. In a news conference held at FAM House yesterday, Ibrahim Ismail mentioned that the scoreboard would be up within the next few weeks

“There is a lot of work still to be done. So it's taking more time to put it. We have surveyed the place and decided that the scoreboard would be put up in the same place where the scoreboard is placed now. Since there is not enough space elsewhere in the stadium”

Ibrahim Ismail also revealed that the scoreboard would be maintained by officials of FAM

“Artline would be giving training to two officials from FAM before it is set up in the National Grounds”

Meanwhile, Hussain Rasheed gave more details regarding the agreement with Artline and FAM since a lot of deadlines were announced by FAM regarding the electronic scoreboard. It has been four weeks since the scoreboard was brought to the National Stadium after clearing the customs.

“There were deadlines announced as Artline gave us the information. They were also linked up with an agent who brought it. So there were some problems with it. The information we gave to the media was the information Artline gave to us”

Ibrahim Ismail also mentioned that FAM has gathered information to bring electronic boards for the fourth officials.

“We have checked some prices and we believe we can bring those equipments before the beginning of the next season”
