Four new players in FAM's category list

Assad Ali is one of the new entries to the list

Male, MALDIVES - Football Association of Maldives has announced the recent national team’s players categories for October and November 2006. Four new players have managed to climb in to the National Team category list. Ahmed Ashfaan of Victory, Aslam Abdul Raheem of New Radiant, Abdul Muhaimin Mohamed of Victory and Assad Ali of Victory managed to climb in to the list.

There are 8 players who are listed in category A while 5 players managed to grab in to category B. The remaining 9 players are in category C.

FAM pays the players a monthly salary based on their category. An A category player receives a monthly salary of RF 4000/-, whereas a B category player receives RF 3500/- and C RF 3000/- to C category.

There are some talking points in the new list and one such is including Akram Abdul Ghanee in B category. He was in the same category when he won the best player of President's Cup.

Anwar Abdul Ghanee, being away from the field in October and November but still lies in category A and Muhaimin, who did not play from Dhivehi League second round is also a surprise inclusion in the list.
