Oppo, Ali Umar, Dhagey, Imran and Akram competing for best player award

Male, MALDIVES - Haveeru daily has announced the best five players competing for their best player award. Akram Abdul Ghanee of Valencia is the only new name added in the list.
Akram is listed alongside last year's winner Ibrahim Fazeel (Oppo), last year's second Ali Umar, 2003's winner Ali Ashfaag (Dhagey) and Imran Mohamed.
Ibrahim Fazeel is already the confirmed winner of the top scorer award with 21 goals under his belt.
Haveeru will present a trophy and a cash prize of Rf 25,000 to the winner in their sports awards ceremony to be held on 8th of January.
Only Oppo and Dhagey the previous winners of the award. Akram's brother Assad Abdul Ghanee won the award in 2004.
Both Assad and Akram along with their brother Anwar made their move to New Radiant for the upcoming season. On the other hand, Oppo and Ali Umar turned their back to New Radiant and signed a new deal with 'getting stronger' VB sports.
