Hurriyya players warming up for an AFC Cup clash: club is
waiting for a coach

Male', MALDIVES - Hurriyya Sports Club is still unaware of the date of arrival of their new coach, Home United Trainer and former New Radiant player, Nicholi. Hurriya's official Muhamin confirmed to maldivesoccer.com today that Nicholi contacted him but his arrival is getting delayed because of his coaching license issue.

“He has done his ‘A' license coaching course, but hasn't got his certificate yet. He assured that he would get the license within two days. So we are waiting for it”

Huriyya is having difficulties finding a coach after the departure of their former coach, Vladamir Goffa. They have tried to bring in Suzeyn, Assistant coach of Victory Sports Club, but the deal was put off when Victory Sports Club urged him to stay back.

Hurriyya is currently practicing under their Assistant coach, Mohamed Rafeeu. Under Rafeeu Hurriyya grabbed their first international point when they held Happy Vally of Hong Kong to a 1-1 draw in Male in their second leg clash of this years AFC Cup.

In ongoing Dhivehi league Qualification Zone 9, Hurriyya lost their two matches played so far; first 5-2 to New Radiant then 2-1 to Valencia. Currently they are on the bottom of the 8 team tournament.
