Valencia working on foreign players

Date: 21 December 2006 | Uploaded: 8:15 AM

Male, MALDIVES - Valencia official Hiyalee Rasheed has confirmed that they are working seriously on finalising the foreign players.

According to Hiyalee, they will study the profiles carefully before making the decision.

'The process (finalising the foreign players) is going at a very high speed. We are checking all the necessary details very clearly, that' why we are yet to make the final decision' He said yesterday.

He also highlighted that the date of arrival of their English coach will also be know by today.

'He said he will mail the date today (yesterday), but still we didn't get it. But I am confident that tomorrow (today) we will ge the date from him'

Valencia has started their practice sessions under the guidance of their defender, Jameel. But Assistant coach Binma Abdullah Waheed will take over the team soon.

'These days mostly the players concentrating on physical trainings, Binma will take over soon and once the coach arrives he will take incharge'

When asked about the standard of players in their current squad, Hiyalee replied it's too early to comment on that.

'We go there and see the practices everyday, but it's too early to talk about the standard of the players. We are not running out of time, isn't it?'

Many key players of Valencia left the club at the end of last season and many new faces joined the club and it seems the club will depend mostly on youngsters in the coming season.
