AFC Cup 07': The draw is made

Male, MALDIVES - Next year's AFC Cup draw has been made and unlike previous years, next year all six group will contain a total of four participants.

Maldives' regular participant, New Radiant, is included in group E with Singapore's Armed Forces, Hon Kong's Happy Valley and India's Mahindra United.

Among these clubs, Singapore Armed Forces is Singapore's League Champion, Happy Valley is Hong Kong's Champions and Mahindra United is Indian National Football League holders.

Newly joined Victory is in group D with Hong Kong's Sun Hei FC, Vietnam's Hoa Phat Hanoi and Malaysia's Negri Sembilan, who are Malaysia's super league winner.

Nex year's competition will kick of on March 6 and the group stage will reach until May 22. The Quarterfinal will be played on September 18 and 25th, whereas the semi final will be on October 2 and 23rd. Two leg final match will be on November 2nd and 9th.

Al Faisaly of Jordan was the champion of this tournament for the last two years. Maldives' best achievement in the competition was New Radiant's semi final run on 2005.
