MALDIVES - A sports education program
targeted for the Zone level teams are scheduling to start before
this year’s football season confirmed Football Association
of Maldives today.
‘We
are trying to have the program 5 days prior to the tournament. Coaches
from Male' would be joining the pariticpating teams in Islands and
would train and give tips and would help them to plan their tactics’
said Ibrahim Ismail
He
also noted that the program's main aim is to improve the level of
football in the islands and as well it would help to locate the
special talented footballers in the islands.
‘We
are trying a lot in association with FIFA to establish an academy.
We could locate some special talented footballers in the islands
and we could help them to develop football’
Hussein
noted that the final date of submitting the teams for Zone league
is 1st of March, However the program is targeted to start on 25
of February.
‘We
would appreciate the teams to finalise the participation as soon
as possible. So it would help us to plan the trips'
