Shinaz (7): The goal scorer for Hurriyya

Male, MALDIVES - Hurriyya finally managed to secure a point in the AFC group stages. The home team tried to defense and attack in counter attacks and their game strategy worked very well for them. Hurriyya used their high speed striker shinaz as their main weapon during the attacks.

But to the home team's despair, in the 21st minute, Chun Yip Ricky Li scored a long range shot in to the corner of the goal. Keeper Ishaaq had no chance to save his shot.

Hurriyya player's motivation did not decrease from that goal, instead their work rate increased. In one of the counter attacks, Shinaz passed his marker and shot the ball in to the opposite corner leveling the game. The keeper, who tried to save the ball, did not have any chance.

In the second half, both teams attacked and got a lot of chances to score, but none of the teams could take the lead

Li who scored the first got another golden opportunity when Fabio crossed in to the penalty area. The ball went too far away and Li could not touch the ball.

Minutes later, Sagib got a very good chance when he was one to one with the keeper. His touch would have lead to a goal, but the keeper came out quickly and saved the ball.

Wong: Disappointing result

In the post match news conference, Wong Simon, the coach of Happy Valley stated that he is very disappointed about the score line.

"I am very disappointed about the result. Some of our boys did not perform as I expected and it leads to a bad result"

Wong noted that two of his foreign players were not performing at their best and might be replaced next season

"We might have to change those players who are not performing. For example today, the striker did not attack well, and the defender's mistakes lead to a goal. So we would be thinking about it"

Wong was full of praise for the young talents of Hurriyya and noted Shinaz's talent

"After the draw, the boys worked really hard specially the young boy, shinaz who is playing as a striker. He got good speed"

Wong noted that if there defenders were fast enough, they could have defeated the other teams

'Our defenders are too slow and it leads to a number of goals to our side"

Wong believed that the team could have won, if all the players worked hard enough

"There was no crossing; forward line was not working hard enough."

Rafeeu: Very happy with the performance

Hurriyya's coach, Rafeeu said that he was delighted about the score line

"The boys worked really hard and i am very delighted. I am delighted as we got a defeat by 3-0 in away and we managed to draw today'

Rafeeu noted that Ali Shiham would be fit for their next game and hopefully they would show a better performance

"Ali Shiham was having a little bit of injury. So we opted to keep him in the bench today. But he would be fit for the next game and we would be using him"

Rafeeu noted that their game plan worked really well, as they wanted to defend and to use the opportunities to attack in counter attacks.

New Radiant match abandoned

In the other group New Radiant took the lead over Sun Hei when Ali Umar scored in the 25 th minute. Sun Hei got a golden opportunity to level the game when they got a penalty in the 26 th minute. But keeper Aslam defended the penalty. But to the despair, the match was abandoned after the first half due to heavy rainfall and thunder. The match commissioner decided to restart the match tomorrow. The scores would be reset.
