New Radiant left, while Tampines arrived

Thoriq (R) scored twice in the home game:



Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant left Maldives last night for their next AFC Cup encounter against Home United of Singapore. The first leg played in Male' favoured the home team with a surprising 5-3 score line. New Radiant striker Thoriq scored twice to give the blues a healthy win and it's likely that he will join the club from Singapore for this crucial away game.

New Radiant and Home United also clashed in last year's AFC Cup, where New Radiant beat them 1-0 in Male' and Home United grabbed a 2-0 win in Singapore.

Meanwhile, Tampines Rovers of Singapore has arrived Maldives last night for their AFC Cup clash against Hurriyyaa. Hurriyya with no point in the tournament has suffered a 3-1 defeat in Singapore.

According to the reports, the Bangladesh Referees appointed by AFC for the Hurriyya and Tampines game have also arrived last night.

Tampines are staying in Paradise Island Resort and their first practice session will be held today at around 1630hrs.
