Cyberjaya, MALAYSIA - New Radiant striker Ahmed Thoriq who netted two vital goals against Home United to give the home team a remarkable 5-3 win will join the club today. Thoriq who is currently in Malaysia will travel by bus to Singapore and is expected to join them this afternoon.
" I am leaving tomorrow (today) morning, the journey will take around 4 hours. But some of my friends studying here will join me in the trip, so it would be fun " He said last night.
Thoriq played an important role in taking New Radiant into the semi finals of last year's edition of AFC Cup, where he scored the only goal against Al Hussein of Jordan in Male'. The second leg ended in a goaless draw.
It's been nearly two years the striker is out of the country for his higher education, but joins New Radiant in important matches.
Recently the striker's wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
