MALDIVES - Victory wins third place of ongoing FA Cup after beating club Eagles by 3-0 in tonight's game. Fareed, Assad and Shiyam were on the scoresheet for Victory.
Victory took the lead from an early penalty kick awarded to them when Eagles defenders fouled on Shaffaz. Fareed finished the spot kick comfortably. After the goal, Victory increased the pace and created numerous efforts to double their lead.
Victory's effort of increasing the margin went close to the last 10 minutes of the game. Substitute player Assad scored in the 76th minute and gave Victory a relief they were hoping for a long time. Five minutes later Shiyam sealed the win from a cross by Fareedh.
Fareed was declared as the man of the match.
New Radiant will face Valencia in the final on 16th of this month, but before that New Radiant will face Home United of Singapore in Male' in an AFC Cup match.
