Male', MALDIVES - Eagles came from behind to score two very late goals to rule out IFC from FA Cup. IFC, who took the lead in the 57 th minute, could not stop the attacks of Eagles and the result came in a form of a nightmare to IFC players when Eagles scored two late goals to book a place in the semi finals.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Eagles could have taken the lead from a very silly error by Zariyandh near the goal line. The ball pumped out from Zariyandh's hand, but the Eagles player was not aware to get a chance like that from an experienced keeper.

In the second half, things changed a little bit. Both teams tried to reorganize their attacks. Mbatchou curled a free kick taken near the edge of the penalty area to the top corner of the goal, Shinan's dive effort wasn't fruitful at all in saving the ball.

Eagles then started to pressurize the defense of IFC and in the 72 nd minute, through a counter attack, Siyad struck the ball into the bottom corner to level the game.

The winning goal came into the scene during the stoppage time, when unmarked Ziyad finished a cross from Siyad perfectly into the net, giving Zariyandh no chance and leaving IFC player in agony.

Supporters played a vital role: Eagles Coach

After the match, Eagles coach was full of praise for his players and supporters.

‘I am very happy with the result. I think the supporters played a big role in our win”

He also explained that Eagles is still not ready and is in a transformation period.

“We have only 3 or 4 experienced players and rest of them are very young. So they need to be given match experienced and within the 2 weeks I've been here I am very happy with how the things gone”

The coach explained that he did not include the foreign players as they are not fully prepared for the match.

‘They are not fully ready. They need more practice to be fit for a competitive game”

Played well, but could not score: Takov

IFC coach, Takov who was left frustrated from the result explained that the team played well, but could not score.

‘In football it happens in some days. You play well and cannot score. It is one of those days for us. “

He showed his frustrations over the decisions by the referee.

‘Some times I felt that the Assistant Referee is a tree. The referee was really bad today”

Takov explained that he is happy with all the departments and the goals were two mistakes by the defence line.

Eagles will face Valencia in the semi final, who last night escaped fortunately from second division club Maziya.
