Male', MALDIVES -
Two early goals and surprisingly a minute between both goals, boost confidence of Valencia and marches past rivals New Radiant and Victory to land in the second position of the 8 team tournament. This could be as a revenge taken by Valencia after the defeat in the FA Cup final.

Mohamed Hussain (Oiittey) scored against his former club to take an early lead in the fourth minute and followed by it, in the next minute Badjektek scored extending the lead to 2-0. It left the defense line of New Radiant wondering what to do next?

Fouls started to pour in and the game changed a little bit dirty as New Radiant players pushed to score. Sameer was rushed to the hospital due to an injury on his chin.

The closest they could come in the first half was from a free kick by Valentine in the 29 th minute which hits crossbar.

New Radiant defense line was having a hard time in controlling the Valencia strikers in this half.

In the second half, New Radiant tried with all the weapons in their bag and tried to come back. But the luck was not on their side today.

The best chance of the half went to Fazeel (Oppo) who was playing with an injured right foot got an open chance all alone in front of the goal. But as he could not touch the ball from the right foot, he had to change the ball to the other foot. Valencia defenders took the advantage and almost blocked the shot.

The most surprising decision by the referee came in the 70 th minute when Farhaad was sent off. Valencia players tried to push all their players defending and tried to attack in counter attacks.

In the whole match, Timo produced some marvelous saves to stop the New Radiant strikers.

The man of the match was awarded to Mohamed Hussain (Oittey).

In the post news match conference, Valencia's coach Eric Williams noted that he is very happy with the result, but still not happy with the performance from his players

“We started quickly and scored two early goals and we were lucky to finish of the game with that score line.”

“I am very happy as we won against a club like New Radiant, but am not so happy with the performance. After the two goals the players were lost. They thought they have won the match. In a football match the players should fight till the last second.”

Eric said his job was done for today's match after winning the game.

“We came out with the best squad we have at the moment excluding those who were injured and suspended. And we wanted a win. So the job is done”

Meanwhile, New Radiant's coach Niyaz mentioned that the players eased at first and faced difficulties coming out from the score line.

“We were too slow and the players took it too ease. After the two goals it was very difficult to come back”

“I feel that it would not be difficult for the New Radiant defenders to defend and stop against the strikers of Valencia. But the early lead they took made it worse for us”

Niyaz also noted that the injury woes for New Radiant also was one of the factors of today's loss.

“Ali Umar came after the Victory match, Ashfaaq is 50% fit. And Fazeel only from one foot. I had to take the risk and I am happy that he came out from the pitch without further injuries. We brought Adam so that we could use him as an emergency. But we had to use him almost in the full match. So it is also a very big factor”

Niyaz mentioned that their situation might change after the injury players come back from their injury.

I think the team tactics, formations and playing modules ... etc all should be reformed. This can only be done by a professional and experienced coach. Definitely niya is not that capable for a team like New Radiant. Even the experienced and skillfull players will eventually lose their motivation.
I highly request the TEAM MANAGEMENT to change the coach instead of utilising their money on the two Tunisian players. They can use one of them instead.- Haikal

first of all congratulations to valencia!
always as a New Radiant fan i have to tell in todays match the weak side is not only the coach! but the team situation.I meant many players is in injury, so that the coach is nothing to do with that. but i'm also request newradiant to get a foreign coach like stoikov as soon as possible and get a good defender like boykov. after that you can be a much better team and can do much better.
a fan since my childhood (from 7 years)really!! - aslam ibrahim

We are a group of students studying in Malaysia and our all time favorites team is NEW RADIANT.
We don't know why Niyaz is not resigning from New Radiant Coach after the failure of AFC as the team has good enough players can't show they best playing with Niyaz Coach!!!! Today also again New radiant lose a big mach and i think it will continue with Niyaz if he is staying as a Coach.
On behalf of New Radiant supporters and well wishers i advise Mr.Queen Waheed to change New Radiant coach immediately!!!!
We all love the Blue Team, even though we are away in Malaysia. - KL, Supporters
