IFC and Valencia will be all out to fight in today’s match,
for the top spot of the ongoing Dhivehi League Zone 9 qualification
match. IFC is on the top spot having wins in all their previous
matches while Valencia are on the second stop losing against Victory.
Eric, coach
of Valencia said that they are hoping to win, but accepted that
it would not be an easy game.
‘It would
be a very difficult game for us. It would not be easy. But we hope
we could win it”
He commented
on the opposition and said they could be a surprise.
“IFC is
playing as a team; there won't be any player who is outstanding.
But they have shown that they are not weak by winning the last 3 games
and now they are on the top of the table”
Valencia’s
injury woes seem to be relaxed as Aakey and Assad seems to be the
only players who are injured. And for today’s game Stainley
would be available for selection and would be a continuous threat.
Meanwhile, IFC’s
coach Takov also agreed that it would be a hard game for both the
teams.
“Both of us are on top of the league and everybody would be
fighting to be on top. So it would definitely be a hard game.”
But Takov said
that it’s not important to win the league qualification, but
the important thing is to qualify.
“Our 22 players are ready to fight and to win the game. But
our task still remains the same. It is to qualify for the league,
not to win it”
IFC’s
main concern would be the suspension of MBatchou who controls the
heart of the midfield line. But Takov remains upbeat and said that
the team could replace him.
“It’s a big blow for us. But there are players who could
replace him”
.
