MALDIVES - When Huriyya takes out the best club of last season new Radiant in tomorrow's Cup Winner's cup clash, their coach remains doubtful about his career at Huriyya sports Club.
‘I really don't know whether I would be in the bench in tomorrow's game.'
Goffa who was the coach of Huriyya last season and won the Dhiraagu Dhivehi league under his coaching is talking with the club of terminating his contract.
“We are having negotiations with the club of three ways to terminate the contract. To terminate immediately and secondly to terminate after one month's time and lastly to terminate the contract after the AFC Cup group stages”
According to AFC rules, the team cannot bring changes to the team line up. If huriyya agrees to terminate the contract, it would mean that both teams who are in AFC Cup would be out of coaches in the group stage matches
Talking about tomorrow's game coach Goffa said that if he remains in the bench, the players would look forward for a win against the mighty New Radiant.
“We would be looking forward for a win. The only worry is that Shinaz has not been coming for practices due to an Injury in AFC Cup matches. Other than that the team looks to be in great shape”
New Radiant's assistant coach and caretaker Niyaz mentioned that they would take the game very seriously as the match would be a win must match.
‘We have to win tomorrow's game if we want to reach for the finals. So we would be taking the game very seriously'
Often Huriyya and New Radiant clashes have been played in a very tense mood and both team's supporters expect a lot from the matches.
‘We know that Huriyya players would have a lot of experiences from the International matches and they would improve a lot from it. As they get more experiences they would be a strong opponent for us”
In tomorrow's game a big concern for new radiant would be their injury woes. Ashfaaq, Mummu and Oppo is in injury and Mummu is obviously out for tomorrow's game.
‘Ashfaaq did not come for practice yesterday due to his injury. Oppo is also a little bit injured. It would be a big problem for us without these players”
Regarding the opponent Niyaz mentioned that it would be difficult for New Radiant to win but would try their best in tomorrow's game.
