Hurriyya's goal scorer Shinaz (7) trying to penetrate the defence
of Valencia

Male', MALDIVES - The place for the third is finalized at last. Hurriyya and Valencia managed to finish the cup winner's cup with a point to each side after finishing their last group stage match by 2-2. Hurriyya took an early lead from a superb run by Shinaz. One of the most sensational counter attacks in this season lead to a wonderful shot by Shinaz, in which Keeper Rameez(Timo) was too slow to react. The ball went through his legs to take Huriyya a 1-0 lead in the 12 th minute.

The second goal again was scored by Shinaz, once again noticeable fault by Timo and the Valencia defenders. They were caught off guard from a cross from the flanks, in which Keeper Timo was again too slow to react.

Valencia came back in the next minute. A superb cross by James was headed wonderfully by Raushan. He was loosely marked in the six yard box of Hurriyya.

In this half, Valencia showed no movement and was very slow in their passing. In the meantime, Hurriyya dominated the position and was creating dangerous chances.

But Valencia came with more determination in the second half and created more chances. Mohamed Hussain scored from a corner which he headed to the bottom corner of the goal.

Man of the match was the hero of Hurriyya, Shinaz Hilmy.

Players are doing the opposite of what I tell: Eric

After the match, Valencia 's coach Eric Williams mentioned that he is not happy with the performance of the players

“The players are doing the opposite of what I asked them to do. I am very disappointed.”

“What we do in the practice is a lot different from what the players do in the match. They are very much disappointed”

He was full of praise for the determination of the Huriyya players.

‘In the first half, our players were out of movement. They were slow to react. But Huriyya players were moving with the ball and off the ball. They had the determination. They closed us down in all the areas”

Eric was also disappointed of the Goal Keeping errors which lead the team to go two down in the first half.

‘I would not say it is all his fault. The whole team was slow to react. The first goal was scored because our team pushed too much upfront and the second was that they were too slow to react”

We played very well in the first half: Goffa

Meanwhile, Hurriyya coach, Vladamir Goffa was very delighted of the performance from his players.

“I am very happy with the performance. We played very well in the first 45 minutes and was very happy”

“I instructed the players to play with ‘fun' so that they could use cool heads in the game. They played in good team spirit today and I am very happy”

Talking about future, he said that he would be very happy if the management could provide foreign players and good grounds for the team to practice.

“I would be very happy if the management could provide with foreign players, if we could get grass ground or artificial pitch to practice and if we have some tall players'
