MALDIVES - Hurriyya started the season with just one point as they were only managed to draw with second division champion Vyansa in tonight's game played in ongoing Cup Winners Cup.
Vyansa took the lead inside the first fifteen minutes of the game from striker Rilwan, but Hurriyya leveled 4 minutes before half time by Samau. During the second period of the game both teams created chances to score the extra goal they were hoping for, but the match ended with a 1-1 draw.
The result looks to be a disappointing one fore Hurriyya, who are also preparing for this year's AFC Cup.
Vyansa, who earlier complained about keeping the coach out of the bench due to a suspension, is likely to be satisfied with the result.
'Every team we face in this tournament is bigger and better than us. So we will try to minimise the conceding goals before thinking about scoring' Vyansa manager Wisham said prior to this match.
New Radiant will face Valencia on tomorrow's game.
