Victory's Issey (16) trying to play the ball in today's encounter

Male', MALDIVES - Victory bags another vital three points in ongoing Cup Winners Cup, by beating Hurriyya by 4-0. In today's game Huriyya's played a very nice passing game, while Victory concentrated on a counter attack. Ismail and Huck's combination in the midfield was too much for the Huriyya's defence.

Victory's first goal came from a free kick. Fareed's low cross was shot to goal by Huck. Keeper Ishaaq had no chance to save the ball.

The second goal came from another set piece, this time a header from Henriksen. It proved that Huriyya's marking in counter attacks were very poor in today's game.

In the second half, Victory again extended the lead to 3-0 by another set piece. Keeper Ishaaq tried to save the ball, but a mistimed punch was then headed to the corner of the goal by Huck.

Huriyya then tried their full team players like Shinaz and Ismail Naeem (KD) to score and reduce the goal difference, but it did not give any satisfaction to the team. They still had problems in defending Victory's set pieces. Again from a free kick Victory scored their fourth goal by Anwar.

You see the result, I see more: Goffa

In the news conference, Goff defended the use of substitute players.

‘You see result. I see more.'

'Obviously I am not satisfied with the result. We wanted a win. We used 6 under 23 players and I am very happy how they played the game'

He once again complained about the pitch and the preparation for the AFC Cup.

‘We obviously don't have grass grounds and we are going to play for the AFC Cup. We don't get the artificial ground like what Victory and other clubs get. So I have to give chances to all my players to experience it'

He also complained about the foreign players.

‘We cannot play without the foreign players. They scored all the goals by headers. They have used their height advantage. We have all short players'

This is one of the best football matches played in here: Suzeynu

Suzien, Victory's assistant coach was very pleased with the game

‘We saw very good football. One of the best football matches played in Galholhu Stadium. The work rate of players was very high. Commitment was also very good in the match'
