Valencia continues their struggle against the minnows after they
got a humiliated draw against Guraidhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya in last
night’s Dhivehi League Qualification. Guraidhoo continuously
pressurized the venerable defense line of Valencia and they were
almost through with four to five goals.
But with less
experienced players, Guraidhoo could not capitalize on the chances.
It was Guraidhoo who took the lead in the first half with a superb
shot Easa Aleem.
In the second
half, from a counter attack, Azim Hussain scored to level the game.
But for the desperate Valencia players, it was a blow when Azim
was sent five minutes later for a dangerous foul on the keeper.
The result would
not matter for both clubs as they both are qualified for the Dhivehi
League. But it would be a good experience to build up the confidence.
