Top six going for rest

New Radiant (blue) vs Valencia in Dhivehi League Qualification: Both teams give rest to their players prior to Dhivehi League  
 

Male', MALDIVES - The top six clubs of recently ended Dhivehi league Qualification zone 9 bring a halt to their practice session, according to team officials.

New Radiant whose showed a disappointing performance in the tournament cost coach Niyaz to resign from his post will restart the practice sessions somewhere around 20th of this month under the coaching of former Hurriyya coach Vladmir Goffa.

New Radiant who started the qualification brightly beating rival Hurriyya 5-2 ended in fourth position, surprisingly defeated on the hands of Guraidhoo.

Victory, who had a comfortable time in the competition, will restart their session on 18th. Victory is the only club ended the qualification without losing a single match. They had 4 wins and 3 draw and finished the qualification on top of their rivals.

Valencia who had some poor performance at the end of the qualification is expected to start their practices on 19th. Valencia tasted an unexpected defeat against Maziya on their way to secure third place.

IFC who confirmed second on the table with the courtesy of goal difference over third place Valencia will start their practice session on June 18th.

Maziya, the new commer to first division, and Guraidhoo who lost their position in first division last year but got it again this year will start their practice sessions on June 18th as well.

These 6 teams will face Champions and runners up of zone 1-8 in Dhivehi League. Champions and runners up of Zone 1-8 will be decided after the Zone final round, that will be kicked off soon in National Stadium. FAM is yet to release the schedule of this tournament.
