Guraidhoo not to participate in season 2007

Male, MALDIVES - Guraidhoo Sports Club has revealed that they have not given up in the intention to sell the club and has decided not to come out for this season through the management. In an interview to maldivesoccer.com Guraidhoo’s General Secretary, Shahin said the board has not decided on which team to sell.
“There was discussion in a board meeting regarding it and we had decided not to come out with the team this year. We are still looking to sell the club”
He said that the main reason for the decision is the lack of finance in the management to run the club.
“Last year also we spent almost 700,000 rufiyaa, which is not worth for a small club like us”
Shaheen also said that they had negotiations with Vyansa and they had shown interest for the take over
“We are trying to deal with different parties now, Vyansa has shown a big interest but negotiations are ongoing. We had an offer from Hurriyya Sports Club very recently and if we give up our position Huriyyaa will be replacing that position” he said
He also said that the club will be sold depending upon the proposal and the price.
