FAM and Blues clash

FAM said that they are investigating a disciplinary issue of New Radiant after a practice ground conflict with FAM president Ilham and his friends.

Male', MALDIVES - FAM president Ilham Ahmed and a team of his friends interrupted the scheduled training of New Radiant Sports Club on 1st July when they walked onto the turf ground and kept two mini goals while New Radiant players were taking a water break.

FAM General Secretary Hussain Jawaz said they are investigating a disciplinary issue of New Radiant after a practice ground conflict with FAM president Ilham and his friends.

"Yes we are investigating a disciplinary case against New Radiant and we have informed it to the club in writing" Jawaz said.

A reliable source has confirmed to maldivesoccer.com that some players of New Radiant let their feelings heard after FAM president and his friends interrupted their training. It is believed that the time given to New Radiant was from 2230hrs to 0000hrs while FAM president and his team walked on to the training pitch before 0000hrs.

This is also not the first of such incident. Before the Ramadan, New Radiant was forced to change their training half when FAM president and his friends refused to move from the area where New Radiant players were training.

No officials of New Radiant was available to comment on the issue.

This is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! FAM is investigating a disciplinary issue of a club when the incident was between the club and FAM's president and his friends! Surely, the investigation cannot be fair and just. Wouldn't you appoint an independent authority to investigate this as one of the alleged culprits is an FAM official? This is a clear and real indication that our football arena is in desperate need of education, education and education!

Well different people have different views. As for me I would say the previous one we had was a much better lunatic. But all new radiant supporters would love him I guess, because of his out of the chart assistance to the club. You had your share of unfair power. No one from you complained than. Why now. Why be so one sided?
