People's Cup 2015: Maziya 4-5 PDRM FA

Male’, MALDIVES – Malaysia’s super league outfit PDRM FA has won the People’s Cup after beating Maziya by 5-4 in a thrilling final match in National Football Stadium.

In the 11th minute PDRM FA’s Traore broke the deadlock for the Malaysian team from a shot just outside the box.

Twelve minutes later Ashfaq doubled the lead for PDRM FA after beating Maziya defender Amdhan.

Just five minutes after the break Ashfaq scored his second of the night and increased the margin after another good solo effort.

In the 72nd minute Maziya’s Irufan scored for them from a stunning header inside the box.

Thirteen minutes later Asadhulla Abdulla changed the score to 3-2 from the spot when referee awarded them a penalty.

Imaz leveled the game in the dying minutes of the game from a close range shot inside the box.

Just three minutes into the extra time referee gave marching orders to Saaif with a second yellow card and PDRM FA took the control of the game.

In the fifth minute of the extra time Traore took the lead for PDRM FA again.

In the second minute of the second half of extra time Ashfaq scored his hat trick after a defensive mistake from Maziya.

Maziya’s fourth goal was scored by Pablo just nine minutes before the extra time and it was his third goal of the tournament.
