Hope that he passes the trail. But I honestly don’t think Umair has what it takes to prosper and get first team appearance. His growth has been hampered in the last couple of years due to poor quality of Dhivehi league and his selfish attitude. Most often no news is good news, in this case it is good news and may be very good news if he can defy the odds and be the second Maldivian player to play in Malaysia league.

Great opportunity for Umair, and wish him the best of luck. I think if PDRM looked a little harder though, they would've found a few better players than Umair, like Fasir and Asadhulla. Oh well, another opportunity for a Maldivian to shine abroad.

I wish umair all the best, hope he gets the chance to play in Malaysia. I used to like his style of play and had high hopes Of him. But to be honest, in the recent past he has not lived upto what I thought he can become and wonder what happened. If pdrm is looking for a tough midfield player I will select Bakaa. But umair has his strong points too. I feel he is the best maldives can offer on a dead ball situation, he can and used to be a great playmaker , can be used in lots of positions ( he has played well as full back , midfield, second and top striker ) . My word of advise to umair is don't let pride take over what you have. Work hard to improve because there will always be room for improvement. Wish you all the best.
