Male’, MALDIVES – Persipura Jayapura’s head coach Jacksen Ferreira has said that tomorrow’s game against New Radiant in the AFC Cup will be a very different game when compared to the first leg, which the Indonesian champions won by 3-0.

Speaking at the pre match press conference held at FAM House this afternoon, Jacksen said that New Radiant traveled to Jayapura after a long journey and we won the match. But things are different in tomorrow’s game.

“This will be a very different game than the first match. New Radiant came to Jayapura after a very long journey. And now it will be a different game and things will be different so we have to approach a different way.”

“We know how they play and they know how we play. Especially they have (new head coach) Simon now and he knows us very well. Will be a different game and my players are ready for that.”

“We thought the weather would be very hot but it is fine for us and we are ready for the game.”

He also said that if they win tomorrow’s game things will be easy for them and they have to fight to be the winners of the group in the remaining games.

“If we win the game, yes we will be in the second round. And we have to fight to be the champions of the group in the remaining games.”

Jacksen also reiterated that he is always preparing his team at their best and they won’t take this game easily.

“I always prepare my team at their best even in the local league. Playing away is not an easy one and we never know what will happen and we always prepare for the team.”

“Everyone in the team knows that tomorrow’s game is a lot for us and we don’t have any injured players so we can use our best team.”

Jacksen also talked about the quality of the players from New Radiant.

“New Radiant has an amazing goal keeper, number 11 (Fasir) is a very fast player and Umair is also a good player and they keep on winning championships and those players know them very well. So it will be a tough one for us.”

Jayapura is on the top of the table with 7 points from 3 games.
